About Cling

Our Story.

“Cling to Jesus” was a familiar phrase echoing out of our mother’s mouth. She would remind us to hold loosely to everything else and cling to the King of Kings. She was a prayer warrior and intensely longed for us to seek after the Lord and love deeply. Cling was founded in honor and memory of her.

“If we want a love message to be heard, it has to be sent out.  To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.” -Mother Teresa

Our Heart for Haiti

Cling in Haiti: Despite initial reservations God called our family to Haiti in 2014. Five children, 14 hands and feet. Relationships were built and our heart to co-labor with our friends opened our eyes to the daily needs. There are many with the willingness to help with the lack of understanding or means. With CLING we desire to help fill this gap. Practical examples include but are not limited to: a trade school, medical center and exploring care and education for pediatric cancer.

Empower.

Cling seeks to empower the people of Haiti to pursue the things close to their heart and give them the tools they need to take care of their families and their community.

Educate.

Cling hopes to provide a trade school in order to teach those in the community that want so badly to learn and work for their families. Cling will also pursue medical education for the community in order to combat mortality rates and pediatric cancer.

Invest.

Cling will spread the love of Christ to everyone we encounter. We will seek to form deep and meaningful relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ & show people that His love is available to all.

Josh and Erin married with this versing uniting their hearts and spurring them on to love deeply. They met as college seniors, leading a missions trip to India from different colleges. They have been finding ways to serve ever since. In 2012 (not sure if this is true) they were lead to Haiti for the first time and fell in love with the people and the culture and knew God had for them and their family to serve the community. They now have six children who each have a unique and incredible gift to offer as they reach past culture and language to simply befriend the people in Haiti. A touch, a game of ring around the rosy, a new dress, a game of catch, or nail polish; all with the love of Jesus as their motivation. This meets a longing in a heart and bridges a gap allowing their King to be glorified.
